Finding a Nice Neighborhood Onsen
In winter, I often enjoy skiing at local ski areas. Being able to go skiing whenever I want to is one of the biggest advantages of living in Snow Country. After skiing, going to a hot spring, or onsen, to warm up and relax is my regular routine.
I recently visited a small lodge called “Hiiragi Sanso” to soak in an onsen after skiing at “Muika Snow Resort”.
Although the lodge was small and old, and the bathtub was also small, the quality of the hot spring was good. The hot water came directly from the source of the hot spring, without being diluted by tapwater or reheated.
It’s always a pleasure to find nice hot springs hidden in remote areas!
